Capital group

The divisions of Polimex-Mostostal and of the capital group companies form a structure able to adjust to the market in a flexible way. Polimex-Cekop S.A. merger with Mostostal Siedlce S.A. carried out in the mid-2004 resulted in building a large multi-division enterprise and consolidated the capital groups of both companies previously acting separately. The Polimex-Mostostal capital group, with revenue on sales accounting for PLN 3.7 billion (data for 2007), ranks among the largest engineering entities in Poland.

Making use of the combined potential of many companies, the group is able to execute even the largest investment undertakings. At the same time, the delegation of competences to individual companies not only allows avoiding an internal competition but also enables the specialisation of divisions and companies, which ensures a high level of provided services and supplies.  

1. Naftobudowa S.A. 

Naftobudowa S.A. was established in 1952 in Krakow and has been part of the Capital Group since 1999. Naftobudowa S.A. provides comprehensive services comprising all the fundamental fields of construction and assembly works, and in particular delivery, assembly complete with start-up and technological line, installation and equipment overhauls. The activity is focused on such market segments as the refinery and petrochemical and heat power engineering industry. It provides services in the scope of general construction and production of chemical industry facilities and steel structures. Naftobudowa S.A. has its own capital group. It is a public company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since March 1999.

2. Naftoremont sp. z o.o.

The enterprise is engaged in the provision of comprehensive technological installation maintenance services for the refinery and petrochemical and chemical industry, and in the prefabrication and assembly of steel structures, storage containers, technological pipelines and process furnaces. The company carries out investment and modernisation projects based on its own engineering potential; the largest Polish refinery companies are their customers: PKN ORLEN S.A. and LOTOS S.A.

3. Torpol sp. z o.o.

Torpol Sp. z o.o. started the activity in 1991. The company offers a comprehensive transport facilities execution, including especially: railway routes and stations, tramway tracks complete with contact system, roadways, transport routes complete with lighting and related infrastructure. Torpol is the owner of PRInż-1 sp. z o.o. and PRInż-9 sp. z o.o. The companies are engaged in the construction of motorways, roadways and sewage systems; they play an important part in Polimex-Mostostal Capital Group in the field of road construction.

4. Energomontaż-Północ S.A.

Energomontaż-Północ S.A. specialises in the execution of investment projects for the power engineering, chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, environmental protection industries, and for industrial and public construction. The offer includes: execution of construction and assembly works, start-up of new plants, guarantee and post-guarantee maintenance works, shop manufacturing and prefabrication of steel elements.

5. Fabryka Kotłów Sefako S.A.

Sefako S.A. - boiler manufacturing plant - has existed since 1974 and has been part of the group since 1994. The company's business activity is the design, production and sale of medium-power water and steam boilers and the execution of pressure and high-pressure components for the purposes of various industries. The company has developed and implemented its own technological solutions in response to the domestic market's interest in boilers fired with fine coal or biomass. With reference to the export, which constitutes the majority of sales, the production capacities are being developed in the scope of large power generating boilers overhauls and modernisation.

6. Biprokwas Engineering sp. z o.o.

Biprokwas - study, design and investment execution office - has pursued the activity since 1945 and has been part of the Capital Group since 1994. It is a modern engineering office with experience in design and execution of business undertakings, mainly for the non-organic chemical and environmental protection industry. It offers professional engineering services in the scope of pre-design studies and analysis, design concepts, design, order picking for installation equipment and comprehensive investment process services.

7. BPEiOŚ Energotechnika-Projekt sp. z o.o.

The fundamental business activity of Energotechnika-Projekt sp. z o.o. is building, urban and technological design. The company offers: engineering, economic and organisational consulting, pre-design studies, engineering and economic, financial, organisational and legal analysis, assessment of undertaking's impact on the environment, documentation, engineering designs, operating manuals, order picking, execution of investments and of training courses.

8. Mostostal Siedlce Zakład Usług Technicznych sp. z o.o.

Mostostal Siedlce ZUT (Technical Services Division) was established in April 1998 based on Mostostal Siedlce S.A. maintenance division. The company pursues activities related to the execution of machine, equipment, devices, electro-tools including parts execution; maintenance, servicing, documentation management, electric and heat energy distribution, water, technical gases; provision of engineering consulting services, execution of expertises; equipment of machines, facilities and devices.

9. Mostostal Siedlce Zakład Transportu sp. z o.o.

Mostostal Siedlce Zakład Transportu (Transport Division) was established in 1997 based on the Mostostal Siedlce S.A. transport department. The company provides domestic and international transport services by means of cars, commercial vehicles, lorries, TIR lorries and buses, and carries out maintenance services in the scope of auto repair.

10. Polimex-Sices Polska sp. z o.o.

Polimex-Sices Polska is a single-purpose company established in December 2002 by Polimex-Mostostal S.A. (50%) and Sices International B.V. (50%). The fundamental task of the company is to execute assembly works as part of the contracts concluded and carried out jointly by the shareholders. PKN ORLEN S.A. is one of the employers.

11. Porty S.A.

Porty S.A. was established in 1997 to perform contracts for breakwater construction in fishing and commercial ports in Libya in accordance with a trilateral agreement between Hydrobudowa S.A., Polimex-Mostostal S.A. and Porty S.A. In April 2006, an annex for the fishing port construction in Garabulla was signed.

12. Valmont Polska sp. z o.o.

Polimex-Mostostal S.A. holds 30% of shares in the company equity. The other shares are held by an American listed company. The company was established in 1994. Its business activity is the production of modern lighting posts, hot-dit zinc coated by Polimex-Mostostal S.A.

13. Development companies

Polimex-Mostostal Group consists of three companies engaged in development activities. These are: Polimex-Development Kraków sp. z o.o., Polimex Hotele sp. z o.o. and Polimex-Mostostal Development sp. z o.o.

Polimex-Mostostal Development sp. z o.o. operates in the Warsaw market and is preparing the execution of several residential projects with a total usable floor area in excess of 9,000m2.

Polimex-Development Kraków sp. z o.o. is executing two major projects in the area of Kraków: "Apartamenty Kliny" and "Wielicka" Residential and Commercial Complex. Other projects are in preparation, including a housing investment at ul. Tatarska in Krakow.
